LACOE HS-SP Director Keesha Woods and Program Development Assistant Rosa Macias traveled to Sacramento on March 29, 2016, to support Assembly Bill 1897, which will help child care providers by creating a birth-to-first-grade license option.

They met with Debbie Look, senior legislative advisor at the California Department of Education, to discuss the governor’s proposed budget initiatives, including the block grant and the Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS).
