What to do when you need early childhood education services

Whether you’re enrolling your child in Head Start or another early childhood education program, it can be hard to decide which program or facility is right for your family. There are lots of options available, from home care to full-day centers. Just a few steps can help you feel confident in your choice, and make sure your child is happy and secure while you are away. Here’s how:

  1. Visit the facility.
  2. Ask questions! See our helpful checklist on the right.
  3. Ask for references and talk to other parents
  4. Do your own research!

When you visit the site, bring the checklist with you so you remember to ask these important questions.
