Quality Start Los Angeles (QSLA)
QSLA is L.A. County’s Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS). LACOE helps early learning providers strengthen environments through coaching, training and resources that raise the bar for care.
California Preschool Instructional Network (CPIN)
As Region 11’s lead agency, LACOE supports school readiness by guiding preschool educators, especially those working with English learners and children with special needs.
Working together to support every child.
We partner with 17 trusted agencies, including school districts and nonprofits, to deliver high-quality, state and federally funded early learning programs across L.A. County.
These partnerships power Head Start Preschool, Early Head Start, State Preschool programs and General Child Care and Development.
Through our funding, we support our agencies with:
- Training and professional development
- Ongoing technical assistance and coaching
- Connections to community resources
- Connections to community resources
- Oversight and accountability to ensure program quality
Our goal is to empower each agency to serve families with excellence, fairness and compassion. Unless otherwise noted, all agencies offer both Head Start Preschool and Early Head Start services.
