NHSA’s Program of Excellence Accreditation recognizes and supports the outstanding performance of Head Start grant recipients across the country. It is earned only by programs that “consistently demonstrate excellence in program management and service performance and continually support the achievement of robust outcomes for children birth to five years old, pregnant people, families, and the communities where they live.”
LACOE is proud to celebrate delegate agency Foundation for Early Childhood Education, Inc. as one of just 11 programs to earn this great honor in 2023! On September 18, 2023, Foundation Executive Director Marcie Houchen and Assistant Director Jocelyn Tucker were recognized by National Head Start Association Executive Director Yasmina Vinci and Deputy Director Dr. Deborah Bergeron during the NHSA Fall Leadership Institute in Crystal City, Virginia.
