Music naturally delights and interests children. Music and movement experiences help develop both sides of the brain and contribute to children’s social-emotional, physical, language, and cognitive development and learning. Family members do not need to play an instrument or sing on key to enjoy music with their children. Sharing dance and music together is a wonderful way to build a warm, loving relationship. It’s a gift that will last forever!

What is learned from music and movement? Social studies. Children learn about spaces and geography as they participate in movement activities and explore music and dance from various cultures. They also enhance their understanding of people and the environment by creating musical instruments from recyclable materials.
