Every day, children are dropped off at early care and education centers. Across the country, California, and throughout Los Angeles County, these centers are primarily staffed by women. Their job involves fostering safe and nurturing environments, promoting positive relationships, and building the architecture of the brain. This work not only forms the foundation of lifelong learning; it also serves as a conduit for parents to pursue employment and/or advance their skills and is an example of everyday, ordinary magic.
In March, we honor the accomplishments and contributions of women. During the month and throughout the year, we extend our gratitude to all of the women in the early childhood education field. Join us in recognizing their work by celebrating Women’s History Month!
